More coronavirus cases confirmed across Leicester and Leicestershire

More coronavirus cases have been confirmed across Leicester and Leicestershire in the past 24 hours.
The biggest increase was in Leicester – 45 – while another 19 cases were recorded across the county.
Broken down to district and borough level, it was Oadby and Wigston with the largest increase, with five new cases identified. New rules come into force in the area tomorrow which will ban people mixing with other households.
Charnwood's cumulative cases also increased by five. Hinckley and Bosworth's total went up by three.
Blaby – an area added to the government's watchlist on Friday – added two new cases to its total.
Melton and North West Leicestershire also saw their tolls increase by two new cases, while Harborough was the only area not to declare any new cases.
The local figures updated at 4.30pm today (Mon) are:
Leicester – 6,558 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 1,851
Blaby – 751 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 739Charnwood – 1,086 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 584

Oadby and Wigston – 689 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 1,208 Stricter rules will come into effect in Oadby and Wigston tomorrow, banning people from mixing with other households, whether in their homes or private gardens. Earlier today, chief government advisers Sir Patrick Vallance and Professor Chris Whitty warned the UK could be facing an ' exponential' rise in cases.
