More arrests made after woman was attacked with blade in village near Coalville while looking for pet dog

Leicestershire Police report that three more people have been arrested after a woman was attacked in a village near Coalville on Wednesday evening (8 December).

They were all located by police in Merseyside yesterday (Thursday).

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender during the incident which took place at Copt Oak.

They remain in custody at this time.

Two other men aged 52 and 30, who were arrested on Wednesday night, have been released on bail.

The victim, who is in her 30s, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

She had gone to Copt Oak to look for her dog which was in a Nissan X-Trail stolen from Hugglescote earlier.
