Men Arrested in Coalville On Suspicion Of Supplying Drugs

Two men have been arrested in Coalville over on suspicion of being connected with the supply of Class A drugs.

Leicestershire Police reported that officers stopped a vehicle in Highfield Street, Coalville on Tuesday.

This followed reports it may have been used in the supply of drugs.

When the vehicle was searched by officers from the North West Leicestershire neighbourhood policing area, a large quantity of cash was found inside.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and driving without a licence or insurance.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

Both men have since been released under investigation.

Leicestershire Police added that from across the county's police force area are continuing to keep the public safe during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

They are still asking you to follow Government guidance and stay at home to save lives – and officers are continuing to follow the "engage, explain, encourage, enforce" approach.
