Man, 59, is arrested after Class A drugs found in police raid on Coalville town centre property

A 59-year-old man was arrested following a drugs raid in Coalville last week,
The operation was in conjunction with a similar warrant at a property in Swadlincote.
Officers in Coalville entered a premises in Hotel Street on Thursday (Jan 26) where they found Class A drugs and associated equipment.

The man has since been released under investigation.
A social media post by North West Leicestershire Police said: "We carried out a drug related warrant in the Coalville area.
"At the same time, colleagues from Swadlincote Police SNT executed a warrant at a property in Swadlincote.
"The warrants were executed following concern of drug dealing in both towns.
"A team of neighbourhood officers from Coalville executed a warrant at a premises in Hotel Street, Coalville.
"Upon a search of the premises, a quantity of Class A drugs, drug related paraphernalia and a number of mobile phones were recovered.
"We also conducted a search of a nearby vehicle and recovered a mobile phone and a quantity of cash.
"One male has been arrested with possession with intent to supply (PWITS) Class A drugs."
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "The warrant was executed on Thursday and the man arrested, who is 59, has since been released under investigation."
