As the festive season approaches, local marketing agency, CWA, based in Glenfield, has set out to spread cheer and give back to the community by collecting new toys and gifts for the charity Toys on the Table.

CWA, who have been operating in the area for almost 60 years, launched the festive campaign at the start of November inviting employees, clients, suppliers, and the local community to contribute to their collection.

Toys on the Table gives toys and gifts to almost 4,000 children around Leicestershire who otherwise would not receive anything on Christmas Day, this year the charity has already received almost 2,000 referrals.

After weeks of collecting donations both internally, from clients and around Glenfield, CWA has now handed over the collection to the charity, the total of which sat at 135 new toys.

Nicola Adams, Managing Director at CWA, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support received, and said: "Receiving a gift at Christmas is a luxury not everyone is fortunate to receive so we are delighted to support Toys on the Table with their collection this year.

"Thank you so much for the support from our team, clients, both local and nationwide, Leicestershire County Cricket Club and the local community that has enabled us to collect such an amazing number of toys."

Mac Clarke, Founder of Toys on the Table, added: "Every year since 2002 we have provided toys and gifts for children across Leicestershire during the festive season who might otherwise not receive anything.

"We're really pleased to accept the most generous donation of toys which have been collected by CWA. Gestures such as this enable us all at Toys on the Table to bring a smile to the faces of those children and create some true Christmas magic."
