Floods affected areas around Whitwick and Thringstone - as Environment Agency issued weekend warning
A flood warning was issued on Sunday for the Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone.
The area has since been hit by floods with a number of routes affected on Monday.
Whitwick Parish Council has already posted online - with a photo - that Cademan Street was flooded.
The council said: "Please AVOID the area. The water is currently too deep for cars to pass through."
The latest update, at 10am, said: "The Grace Dieu Brook level at Whitwick Upstream Level was 0.66 metres. Property flooding is possible when it goes above 1.25 metres.
Areas most at risk are: Grace Dieu Brook at Whitwick and Thringstone including junction on Ashby Road and Snarrow's Road.
The alert was taken down on Tuesday.
North West Leicestershire Police said: "We are getting numerous calls to cars stuck in snow and flood water.
"Please stay safe and only travel if absolutely necessary. Do not attempt to drive through standing water/flooded roads."
The Environment Agency website says: "River levels are rising at the Whitwick downstream river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.
"Consequently, flooding of property is imminent. Areas most at risk are Whitwick and Thringstone.
"Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
"We are closely monitoring the situation.
"Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
"To check the status of road closures online, please visit the One Network live map.
"This message will be updated as the situation changes."

- protect yourself and your loved ones
- move your loved ones, pets and valuables to a safe place
- move to higher ground or the upper floor of a building
- turn off the gas, electricity and water in your home if it's safe
- put flood protection equipment in place
- do as the emergency services tell you
- help others if it's safe to do so
