Fire Crews Battle Overnight Blaze In Coalville

Investigations are due to begin today to discover the cause of a large fire at Biffa Waste Services in Snibston Drive in Coalville on Tuesday night.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Services says that after an inspection of the scene the fire was believed to be accidental, sparked by an electrical fault.

Several fire crews were at the two-storey recycling centre - with as many as eight tackling the blaze at one stage.

But there were no reports of any injuries following the incident.

Two fire appliances remained at the scene on Wednesday morning and investigators are due to attend later today as they try to find out how the blaze started.
