Family tributes paid to Aaron who was killed in Whitwick car crash last year
A tribute to Aaron Fairbrother - who was tragically killed in a car crash last Christmas - has been issued on behalf of his family.
Lewis Kendrick, 24, of Dumps Road, Whitwick was sentenced at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (20 December) after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving a vehicle while uninsured and unlicensed.
He was sentenced to three and half years in prison for death by dangerous driving, nine months in prison for causing death by driving a vehicle driver unlicensed / uninsured, this sentence will run concurrently.
Shortly before 1.30am on Wednesday, December 23 last year, a black Nissan Note that had been travelling along Leicester Road towards Whitwick left the carriageway and impacted with a stone wall.
Further details of the court case can be found HERE.
Kendrick's friend, Aaron, who was also 24 and from Whitwick, had been travelling in the passenger seat. He sustained fatal injuries and sadly died at the scene.
Aaron's family issued a tribute through Leicestershire Police: "We as a family can now try and heal together, but the only thing that would heal our pain at this time is to have Aaron here with us now.
"Aaron never left home without saying 'I love you'. "He loved life and lived every second of it to the full, everything was funny and to be enjoyed, and he made us laugh at every opportunity.
"He was a caring young man that would do anything for anyone, and never ask for anything in return. He loved being at home with his family, and a lot of his mates were like family to him.
"He worked hard and played hard and always said 'you only live once'. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Aaron and he would always be there if he was needed.
"He was generous, kind and so loving, and was passionate about the people he loved and his car.
"We will never see Aaron get married, buy a house or have children, and the world has missed out on the beautiful amazing man that Aaron would have become.
"We could go on, but we hope you see how this has changed our lives forever and how he didn't just mean the world to us but to all of his friends and the people that knew and loved him."
