Drug dealer who crashed his car near Coalville was arrested at scene – with the help of off-duty officers

A drug dealer who crashed his vehicle when speeding was arrested at the scene – with the assistance of off-duty Leicestershire Police officers in the area.
Agandy Anderson, 25, had tried to flee the scene following the incident in Copt Oak on October 17, 2019, but had been seen by two off-duty officers.
He was arrested in a nearby field by police who were called to the incident where he was also found to be in possession of class A drugs, a quantity of cash and mobile phones.
Yesterday (Thursday) at Worcester Crown Court, Anderson, of Chervil Rise, Wolverhampton, was jailed for a total of eight years after being found guilty of two counts of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He had previously pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent. He had also previously pleaded guilty at a separate court hearing to two further counts of possession of class A with intent to supply in relation to a separate incident. Anderson has also been disqualified from driving for 12 months. During the incident, two vehicles had been spotted driving at speed by an off-duty Leicestershire Police officer in Warren Hills Road, Coalville.
