Coalville Police caught five speeding drivers during a speed check in Whitwick on Saturday.

And they say there will be more in the area soon.

Saturday's checks were carried out in Hall Lane and North West Leicestershire Police say it was as a result of residents' concerns.

A Police post on Facebook reads: "Of the vehicles that passed through the check, five drivers have been issued Traffic Offence Reports (TOR) for their speed along the road and another three have been spoken to regarding the manner of their driving.

"Remember it is 30 for a reason.

"We will be out around the area conducting checks, so please don't let it be you that is caught speeding."
