Dog 'attacked woman and two other dogs' in Coalville street say police

A woman and two dogs were attacked by another dog in Coalville yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Police were called to the incident in Burgess Road and seized the dog who carried out the attack.

But Leicestershire Police say their enquiries into the incident - which took place shortly after 4pm - are ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 4.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 19 October) a report was received that a dog had attacked a woman and two other dogs in Burgess Road, Coalville.

"The dog which carried out the attack has been seized and its owner identified.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
