North West Leicestershire District Council says that there may be disruption to recycling collections over the next few weeks.

A social media post from the council confirmed that some workers are taking part in industrial action over shift patterns.

The council has apologised in advance and says talks with workers and unions are being held to try and reach an agreement.

It also directs residents to a web page which lists which roads in the district are affected on any given day.

The Council's post reads: "Some recycling collections over the coming weeks may be affected, as some of our workers are taking part in industrial action over shift patterns.

"Keep an eye on this page HERE if you think your street has been affected and for details on when we'll be back to collect.

We want to reassure residents that we will do as much as we can to keep any disruption to a minimum.

We're sorry for any inconvenience caused, we will continue to discuss arrangements with all of our crews and unions."
