A Coalville councillor says that Bardon Truck Park is to close within a month.
The owners of the site had applied to use it for three more years as a parking area for HGVs.
Permission for that was refused by North West Leicestershire District Council a year ago - as it would have an effect on the pub restaurant next door.
But now, the current county councillor for Coalville South, Keith Merrie, says two appeals against that decision have failed - which means it is now to close.

The land is on the site of the former Stardust Club at Beveridge Lane and has been used as a parking area for lorry drivers.
But an extension for another 36 months - on a temporary basis - was refused last year.
It was decided that the scheme would interfere with the business of the Charnwood Arms which is directly adjacent to the truck stop.
A council officer's report said that vehicles would have to access the site through the pub car park.
It added that this caused safety issues, damage to the surface of the unadopted road and would 'negatively affect' the pub's business.
A month earlier, in what was described as a 'modest' application, Brett Parker, the director of Bardon Truck Stop, was granted a licence for the sale of from noon to 10pm. But that was followed by the refusal of an extension to carry on as a lorry park.
Cllr Merrie revealed the latest development on social media.
He said: "After nearly two years of hard work by myself, Ellistown Parish Council, NWLDC Planning department, Aimee Garner for Coalville South, Greene King brewery and many others, we finally got the news that the owners of Bardon Truck Park have lost their two appeals and they are to close within four weeks.
"You cannot have the entrance to a truck park going past the front door of a family pub and then try to negotiate the pub car park to get into the truck park. The Parish Council neighbourhood plan was mentioned by the Inspector as one of the many reasons to dismiss both appeals."
