Castle Rock School has announced another positive case of Coronavirus - meaning a partial closure on Wednesday.
The Meadow Lane-based school had already reported two cases in the space of a fortnight.
Now the head of school Michael Gamble has written to parents again this evening (Tuesday) to confirm a third case.
The letter from Mr Gamble emphasised that the latest decision has not even made lightly and is a 'precautionary measure' for the school.
It reads: "Dear Parents/Carers,
"The health and safety of our students is absolutely our top priority.
"Having been informed of a positive case of COVID-19 today, affecting only the year groups 10 and 11, we have made the decision to close the Year 10 and Year 11 buildings FOR ONE DAY ONLY – TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER.
"A deep clean of each classroom takes place every evening; however; as an extra precautionary measure and to mitigate against any further outbreaks, we have taken this pragmatic decision to allow for a further days deep cleaning where a fogging machine will undertake an even more thorough clean.
"Any students who have needed to self-isolate have already been contacted.
"If your child is in Year 10 or 11 and hasn't been contacted, then they should return to school on Thursday 24th September. Students that are off tomorrow should please revise using the Oak Academy Trust and BBC Bitesize.
"All other year groups (7,8,9, 12 and 13) should attend school tomorrow as normal.
"We wish to reassure you that this is an extra precautionary measure and although not a decision we have made lightly, a decision that has been made in the interests of the health and safety of our students and staff.
"Thank you for your support."
