Coalville Town have signed former Grimsby Town midfielder Andi Thanoj from Boston United - one of two new faces to arrive at the club.
The Ravens made the announcement today (Saturday) and manager Adam Stevens says the player gives them something 'from a higher level'.
Thanoj, 29, has signed a two-year contract with Coalville after five years playing in National League North with Boston United.
He has also had successful spells with the likes of Grimsby Town, Alfreton Town and Harrogate Town.
The club say they are delighted to have signed a player with a strong reputation and they believe he will excite Coalville fans.
Coalville are already building for next season after missing out on promotion from the Southern League Central division via the play-offs.
Stevens said: 'We're delighted to get Andi on board.
"He gives us something different and is proven at a higher level.
"He's also good on set plays and along with our first signing Paul fits the character we want."
An interview with Thanoj from Coalville Town's You Tube page can be viewed above.
Goalkeeper Paul White is Coalville's first signing of the summer.
White, 27, is a 6ft 4ins keeper who brings a wealth of experience with him.
Originally from Cork City the Irishman moved to the UK in 2013 and had spells in the professional game with the likes of Forest Green, Boreham Wood & Accrington Stanley.
He then joined Kettering Town in 2016 and went on to win the Southern league title with the Poppies by 14 points during the 2018/19 season.
A move to National League North side Hereford FC followed in 2020 but more recently he has had spells back in the Southern Central League with St Ives Town and latterly Peterborough Sports where he kept a clean sheet against Coalville in February during a league game.
He has signed with the Town on a one year deal with a further one year option also included.
Stevens added: 'It was very important to get an experienced keeper in.
"Paul's won this league with Kettering and has always impressed me whenever we've faced him."
