The manager of the Leicester Inn in Coalville has announced he is leaving the pub because of the restrictions caused by the pandemic over the past year.

A Facebook post this afternoon (Thursday) says he is moving on.

The pub is on London Road in the town centre and was advertising for staff last month.

The Leicester Inn, owned by Punch Taverns also re-opened last month serving customers outdoors.

But today's announcement from manager Nick Bray reads: "It is with regret that we have decided to give up the Leicester Inn - with all restrictions and the hassle in the past year.

"We would like to thank all of our customers over the past six years and wish you well in the future.

"Stay safe and stay happy. Nick, Paige and all the staff."
