Coalville Police have targeted an area of the Greenhill Estate and offered advice to residents who may have experienced anti-social behaviour.

Police have been alerted to damage being caused to doors and windows at a block of flats - as well as troublemakers coming to the estate from outside the area.

Letters have been delivered to people living in the flats on how to report incidents - anonymously if necessary.

The letter from the Bardon Beat Team reads: "We are aware of issues relating to anti-social behaviour in your area, including banging on doors and windows, which has caused damage, and a lot of people visiting the area who do not reside here.

"Please be assured that your local policing team and partner agencies are taking this matter seriously, and are taking steps to tackle this problem.

"We understand the frustration from the local community, but we need your support for us to be able to tackle these ongoing issues.

"We encourage you to continue to call 101, to report further incidents, or 999 in an emergency situation.

"Please note that all incidents are graded, based on risk level, so an immediate response is no guarantee. However, all reports will still be looked at by the Beat Team, and follow-up actions will be taken as and where applicable.

"While we would encourage your full support, by reporting incidents, we appreciate some people may not feel comfortable with providing details, and so we would urge you to complete a report anonymously.

"This can be done when you ring 101 - simply state you want to remain anonymous."
