North West Leicestershire District Council is hiring refuse collectors during the current Coronavirus crisis.

The council says it wants people to help the local community in Coalville and the surrounding areas by applying.

The following message was posted by the council on Monday morning: "Looking for work? Can you help your local community with waste collections?

"We are looking for temporary staff to work with our waste collection crews as refuse loaders during the current Coronavirus situation.

"No experience is needed (you will be trained on the safe use of the machinery), but you need to be physically fit because you could walk 10 miles or more a day.

"We will pay £360 per week (before deductions, paid monthly).

"Interested? Please contact Mick Hughes on 07747 766378."
