Coalville McDonald's To Offer Dine-In Table Service Again From Wednesday
Coalville McDonald's is set to offer a table 'dine-in' service from tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Stephenson Way fast-food outlet is one of 700 restaurants which will open their doors nationwide.
A spokeswoman for the Coalville branch said: "We'll be doing a table service.
"You sit at your table and if you order on the App then it'll show up on our screens so you don't have to get out of your seats or anything like that. It's from Wednesday."
The Coalville branch re-opened early last month with a drive-thru service, causing long queues which stretched to the A511 bypass at times following an easing of the Coronavirus lockdown Coalville McDonald's opens drive-thru service.
The restaurant chain will have coronavirus safety measures in place, following the reopening of most branches for delivery, takeaway and drive-thru.
July 4 saw the reawakening from the nightmare of Covid-19 restrictions with Prime Minister Boris Johnson giving the go-ahead for businesses including restaurants and pubs to reopen.
But McDonald's decided not to reopen for dine-in at the start of July, saying it "wasn't ready" to welcome back customers to its seating areas.
Covid-19 measures include hand sanitiser stations, one-way floor markers, perspex screens around tills and fewer members of staff on shift.
McDonald's will still have a reduced menu but have also started serving breakfast again in more than 1,000 sites.
Some of the 700 restaurants reopening for dine-in will also take part in Chancellor Rishi Sunak's Eat Out To
Help scheme - meaning customers will get 50 per cent off their bill, up to £10 per person, Monday to Wednesday, in certain stores. McDonald's has not said exactly how many sites will run the scheme.
