A Coalville-based manufacturer of horticultural products has announced an exciting new partnership with a children's charity.

Vitax has teamed up with Greenfingers, to help raise funds over the next 12 months through the sale of promotional packs of one of its market-leading products.

The Owen Street-based business has committed to raising money through a fundraising project – the sale of special 2.5kg promotional packs of Vitax Q4 All Purpose Plant Food (Vitax Q4).

The packs will also include helpful information about the charity to help raise awareness. The new promotion boxes will be available through garden centres and nurseries and for every box sold, Vitax will donate 25p to the charity.

Working with hospices throughout the UK, Greenfingers aims to provide all life-limited children, their families, and carers, with therapeutic gardens and outdoor spaces to enjoy and spend precious time together away from the bedside.

Anja Gooding, Vitax's chair, said: "We have supported Greenfingers for many years through a variety of its fundraising activities, but we wanted to do more, and the sale of special donation packs of Vitax Q4 is a great way to raise funds.

"Greenfingers is a fantastic charity, and our partnership is as much about raising awareness of its work as it is about raising funds. The best way to do this is through the sale of one of our most popular products.

"Vitax Q4 is a much loved and respected product, often passed down as a 'must have' product by generations of gardeners as it produces outstanding results.

"The charity is a natural fit for Vitax as we always look to support charities that are connected to gardening, whether that is through horticultural programmes, creating and restoring gardens or promoting the mental health benefits gardening can bring.

"The gardens they create make such a huge impact on those who visit them and we're looking forward to seeing how the funds we raise through Vitax Q4 will help create more magical gardens."

To date, Greenfingers has created almost 70 inspirational gardens.

Linda Petrons, director of fundraising and communications, said: "We are thrilled Vitax has chosen Greenfingers as its new charity partner as the gardens we design can only be delivered through the phenomenal support of our fundraisers, volunteers and charity partners.

"Vitax Q4 is so well known among keen gardeners, we know the association with Greenfingers will be well received and help make more people aware of our work. The funds raised through the sale of Vitax Q4 will go towards the design and creation of future projects, which once finished, will really make a positive impact to the many children and families that will enjoy the new spaces."
