Three fire crews were called to a house fire in Ibstock yesterday afternoon (Saturday).

The blaze at the home in Melbourne Road is believed to have started in the lounge and spread from there.

But Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said all occupants were accounted for.

The Fire Service said: "Two fire engines from Coalville Station and one from Western Station attended.

"A call was received reporting a fire in the lounge.

"Upon Fire Service arrival, confirmation received ground floor of property and hallway fully involved in fire.

"Four Breathing Apparatus, one Hose Reel Jet and Positive Pressure Ventilation in use.

"All persons accounted for. Fire extinguished and all Breathing Apparatus withdrawn. Fire investigation taking place."
