Coalville Entertains attracts more than 2,000 for family day at Marlborough Square

More than 2,000 came along to the Coalville Entertains event held in Marlborough Square last Saturday.
The event was hosted by Coalville CAN in association with North West Leicestershire District Council - and was described as 'an incredible success'.
This was a full day of music, fun and community spirit.
The free, family-friendly event showcased local performers, street entertainment, storytelling, food, trails – and a unique karaoke competition.
It was designed to celebrate the creative energy and hidden talents within the town.
North West Leicestershire's Facebook page backed the event and said: "A huge thank you to Coalville CAN for hosting Coalville Entertains this Saturday — what an incredible success!
"When we redesigned Marlborough Square, the vision was to create a vibrant space not just for council-led events, but more importantly, for our amazing local organisations to bring it to life.
"Saturday's event was a perfect example of that vision in action — a fantastic turnout and a brilliant atmosphere.
"Here's to many more community-led celebrations in the heart of Coalville!"
Coalville CAN added: "Thankyou to everyone involved in Coalville Entertains !
"The sun came out along with over 2,000 people to be at the event on Marlborough Square.
"After the event had ended, the party moved into the Emporium where young DJs Alfred and Jamie got to share their skills.
"Thanks again to every performer, helper, trader and visitor. Far too many to mention."
