The CrossFit Coalville Open day next month is a great opportunity to get involved with a thriving community that shares a common goal - fitness.

CrossFit Coalville is giving the local community the chance to try an hour class, completely free, so you can see just how beneficial CrossFit can be for your physical and mental health.

As we head deeper into the new year, a lot of us find that newly found motivation for fitness in 2022 dwindling.

The opportunity to try something new should never be taken lightly.

Perhaps you've never tried CrossFit, or maybe you are new to the area and are looking for the next box to train in.

Either way, attending the Open Day will allow you to see how CrossFit Coalville operates and how they can help you change your own life for the better through fitness.

It will be held on April 2, and you can find more details HERE.

CrossFit is the sport of fitness, but to some, that sounds daunting.

Put simply, it shouldn't. When you come to a CrossFit class, you aren't just going into your regular gym class.

You are joining a one-hour session that is specifically tailored to your experience and ability, whilst always pushing yourself to achieve the best possible results. If you are looking for a great workout, that's hard but manageable, then CrossFit is for you.

Ultimately, CrossFit is a strength and conditioning programme that focuses on all areas of fitness.

In doing so, this ensures that you are setting yourself up for a better quality of life outside of the gym. This should be the primary reason we train.

At CrossFit Coalville, you don't just train, you receive an education. The coaches are all qualified in their respective fields to make sure you get the best out of your sessions and develop your fitness in the proper way.

Head Coach, Jake Garner, explains why he thinks CrossFit is the best way to get fit: "CrossFit for me is perhaps the most relevant way to get fit.

"Why? Because is relative to the individual taking part.

"It allows you to identify and develop on the areas that need it most.

"As a fitness facility, we aren't too enthusiastic about cramming you guys in, wall to wall, as part of a large crowd, following an instructor's lead.

"We want to educate you about fitness, not just lead you blindly through a class.

"Imagine a class more like a group PT session rather than a typical fitness class. I make sure my coaches, including myself, spend time with every individual as we workout, making sure they are moving and developing in the right way.

"This should be the primary objective of a good coach.

"That's why I keep our classes exclusive at a maximum number of 12.

"The use of our large space, extensive variety of functional fitness equipment and capped classes are really reflected in the performance of our members."

You don't have to be 'fit' to do CrossFit. Instead, CrossFit is the journey you take to becoming fitter.

The amount of experience you have, knowledge you posses of physical ability you can display is all irrelevant.

CrossFit Coalville owner, Craig Smith, talks about the wide range of members in the box.

He said: "We have people with us who have been here a long time.

"We have people with us, who before joining our classes, have never stepped foot inside a gym before, let alone tried CrossFit.

"This is what we are about. There is no cliquey atmosphere within our CrossFit affiliate. Whether you can do one hundred squats or barely manage one, there isn't any judgement.

"No one here is an outsider, because everyone here shares the same goal, changing their life for the better.

"The atmosphere in the box is one of support.

"You won't be stared down here for not having the same experience under your belt as some of the others.

"In fact, some of the support our current members give the new folks is only one notch behind that of the coaches'.

"This is rare to find in other facilities. Some of the friendships that have flourished here are great to see."

If you are looking to improve on your fitness, try something new, improve your quality of life and meet like minded people, then get in touch with CrossFit Coalville to find out more about the Open Day this March and secure your place.

You will have a chance to tour the facility, meet the coaches and even try a CrossFit workout for yourself.
