Coalville CAN's Makers area is set to re-open next month - with the community group revealing a share offer will be made in the new year.

CAN's Memorial Square offices have been redeveloped over the past few weeks.

But the Makers area is set to re-open on November 15.

CAN describes it as: 'A vibrant creative shop for local crafts in a community hub in the heart of Coalville!'

Deana Bamford, of Coalville CAN, said: "It's a significant moment in the development of a creative community hub built on the skills and passions of local people - and a new destination craft shop at the heart of our town.

"The refurbishment of CAN HQ Community Hub is the culmination of hard work and collaboration from over 15 businesses, 35 makers and creatives, and has involved hundreds of hours of volunteer contributions of a crew of dedicated individuals.

"Together, we'll make Coalville an even greater place to live, work, and visit."

Nicki Worthington, chair of the board at CAN, said: "I'm excited that we will be opening the Makers refurbished area at Coalville CAN.

"This is just the beginning of a prosperous future.

"This has all come about from the passion of OUR community and a fantastic crew at the Hub.

"Coalville CAN is about the community for the community, what's not to love."

But Harry Jerome, CAN's secretary , said there would be an extra development in 2024.

He said: "We are thrilled to share that we will also be launching a share offer early next year.

"This means that you can become a proud owner of a piece of Coalville and secure the future of CAN HQ Community Hub forever.

"Standing as the first building in community ownership for Coalville, a symbol of our shared commitment to fostering a stronger, more vibrant town."

You can visit Coalville CAN on November 15 between 3pm and 7pm to celebrate the re-opening and what the group says is the promising journey that lies ahead.
