Coalville By The Sea is on its way this summer - with a live Mermaid!

Coalville by the Sea will be returning in 2021 under new management.

On The Scene Event Ltd are pleased to take on this event and grow it with greater attractions and entertainment.

A spokesman for the company said: "This year, we will be moving the event to the Market Place car park and extending the event to four days starting on July 14 and running to July 17.

"It's a great way to start that summer staycation.

"We will be bringing a first to Leicestershire and with a 30ft long mermaid tank, with live mermaid and pirate shows.

"A massive 20 tonnes of sand will create our beach for sandcastle competitions, there will be daily competitions for fancy dress also.

"No beach is complete without a pier fair and nor will Coalville by the Sea, we will have a family fair and the tastes of the seaside with beach style food and drink.:

Tickets are on sale now at £2 per person and includes all entertainment, competitions and entry to the event.

Fair rides will be pay-to-ride.
