An address in Coalville was given a closure order on Thursday after concerns from the local community.

The property in Jackson Street will be closed for three months after the order was granted by Loughborough Magistrates.

Coalville Police confirmed the move on social media on Friday afternoon.

They said: "A closure order was granted at Loughborough Magistrates court yesterday for an address on Jackson St, Coalville, lasting for three months.

"This is after the local community reported concerns surrounding the address, including anti-social behaviour and drug activity.

"The order prevents anyone from going inside the address other than the tenants. If anyone is caught going inside the address they are liable for arrest and prosecution.

"If you have any concerns that people are dealing drugs in your area, please get in touch with us."

The move follows previous action by Leicestershire Police in the area to clamp down on similar activities.
