Coalville: One of local Action Group's founders has been elected as a new ward councillor

Susan Colledge, one of the founder member of the Whitwick Action Group, has been elected as a new Parish Councillor for the Hermitage Ward.

The results were duly announced by the Returning Officer for North West Leicestershire District Council following last Thursday's poll.

She polled 244 votes ahead of the Independent candidate Craig Smith's 115.
