Coalville 1,000 Plant Cannabis Find Was One Of 'Around 60' Police Raids in Area Since March

North West Leicestershire Police have made 60 drug searches at properties in the area over the past seven months.
The latest find was last Monday when more than 1,000 cannabis plants were found at a property in Baker Street, Coalville.
Police say they have been working closely with the local community to try to stamp out drug supplies in the region.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "Since around mid-March officers from the North West Leicestershire Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA) have executed around 60 warrants relating to the production and supply of drugs.
Teams from the NPA work closely with the local community and would encourage anyone to pass on information.

Investigations are still ongoing following the Baker Street find.
The spokesman added: "Enquiries are continuing after a large cannabis factory was found in a premises in Baker Street, Coalville.
"It was discovered on Monday, October 19, by local officers and found to contain in excess of 1,000 cannabis plants as well as hydroponic equipment.
"No arrests have been made and our investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have information about the factory is asked to call 101 quoting 20*552140."
