Motors Coalville says it will no longer be operating as a Ford dealership in the town.

In the year it marked 100 years in Coalville, the garage announced it would continuing to sell cars from its base in Hotel Street.

But its long association with Ford has now ended.

A social media post from the company reads: "Motors Coalville is changing!

"Due to the restructuring of the Ford dealer network in the UK, we are unable to continue as a Main Ford Dealer.

"We are excited to be operating as an independent dealer and look forward to delivering the same high levels of service we are known for.

"With over 100 years of experience in the automotive world, we will continue to offer high quality used vehicles from all manufacturers.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our new car customers over the years and hope that we will be able to deal with you in the future."
