Applications for a new business grant to help hospitality and leisure businesses in the Coalville area are now open.

The Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant is being administered by North West Leicestershire District Council on behalf of the Government, and will support hospitality, leisure, and accommodation businesses that have been impacted by the Omicron variant.

Eligible businesses will receive a one-off grant of up to £6,000.

Grants are available to businesses that have a business rates account as of Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Full eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found HERE.

Applications will close on Monday 28 February 2022.

Councillor Tony Gillard, Portfolio Holder for Business at NWLDC, said: "The impact of Omicron has been felt by many businesses, so I am pleased that additional government funding is available for the hospitality and leisure sector.

"Our businesses are vital to supporting the growth and development of the district, so this government funding is very welcome and something we're pleased to support.

"If you believe your business is eligible, please visit our website to see if the scheme could help you."
