Alma's Sandwich And Cake Shop In Coalville Announces It Is To Close

Alma's Vintage Sandwich and Cake Shop in Jackson Street, Coalville, has announced it will be closing this month.

The owners say they have been 'hit hard' by the decision.

The shop serves handmade cakes, rolls, sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, breakfasts and afternoon tea, as well as offering outside catering.

A message on their Facebook page today (Thursday) reads: "It's with great sadness that I have to let you all know we will be closing at the end of this month.

"We had agreed a rolling contract with the landlord. but today he let me know we have to vacate.

"We still have food to sell for the time being so please come in and order.

"We also have items to sell If anyone is interested.

"As you can imagine it's hit us hard this morning but I will get a list of our items together if anyone is interested.

"Thank=you for your support over the last five years."
