Rocket Railways is coming to Coalville this Friday.

The Lincolnshire-based model railway shop is taking a stall in the market and hoping to attract enthusiasts from North West Leicestershire.

Rocket Railways is 'testing the water' in Coalville and will have an N guage layout on show at its stall.

Managing Director Jason Thickpenny hopes the railway running through the town - which could be reopened if campaigners are successful - means Coalville has its fair share of train lovers.

He said: "Coalville is rich in history with the railway, so it makes sense to see whether or not they would like a model railway store as well.

"We already have a shop in Grantham, Lincolnshire, and operate online, so the next move is to see if Coalville would like this too.

"On Friday we've booked a stall on Coalville market to test the water.

"We're going to be bringing a selection of items from our store as well our N Gauge layout. All credit cards will be accepted."
