Ram Raid: Thieves Use Stolen Car To Break Into Ellistown Store And Take Cash Machine

Thieves made off with a cash machine from the Londis store in Ellistown in the early hours of Tuesday morning after smashing a stolen car into the front of the shop.
Police are investigating the incident which took place at around 2.50am.
Three suspects broke in by smashing the shutters of the shop in Whitehill Road and then taking an ATM machine.
The car, which had been stolen from an address in Leicester overnight, was abandoned at the scene and the group left in a dark coloured car.
Leicestershire Police issued a statement on Tuesday which read: "Police were called at around 2.50am today (Tuesday) by a member of the public reporting a break-in at a premises in Whitehill Road, Ellistown.
"A Mitsubishi Shogun was used to damage the shutters of the shop allowing three suspects to gain entry.
"A free-standing ATM machine was taken from inside the address.
"The suspects left the scene in a dark coloured car, with its boot open, heading towards Ibstock.
"The Shogun, stolen from an address in Leicester overnight, was left at the scene.
"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are in the early stages.
"Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident 61 of 7 April."
