Coalville fire crew called out to car blaze near A511 restaurant

Coalville Fire Crew were called out this evening on Wednesday to deal with a car fire on the A511.

The blaze happened near to the Flying Horse bar and restaurant on Little Shaw Lane in Markfield.

A Ford Galaxy vehicle caught fire just before 5.30pm when an emergency call was made.

A report from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire engine attended from Coalville Fire Station. Severe fire damage to the vehicle.

"Initial Information was that there were reports of vehicle fire on roadway

"Ford Galaxy fully on fire, two hose reels and two breathing apparatus wearers extinguished the fire."
