Car crashes into Belvoir Road building: Coalville fire crew called to incident

A car crashed into a house in Coalville in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service reported the incident at just after 3am and said the vehicle was 'embedded in the building' in Belvoir Road.

Coalville fire crew were called out to the building - on the corner of the junction with Avenue Road - along with a Technical Rescue Team from Leicester's Southern Station.

But no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Initial reports of a car crashing into building.

"Upon arrival, incident confirmed as car having crashed into building. No injuries.

"Car was embedded into wall of building - building had received structural damage.

"Local authority building inspector attended.

"The vehicle was removed by the Fire Service and the building was then shored up by the Technical Rescue Team."
