About the Role:

Macildowie are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, regional Legal 500 firm who are looking to expand their very well respected Employment team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Employment Solicitor, with 2-5 PQE to build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a successful team.

You will:

• Manage your own caseload and advise clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including settlement agreements.
• Defend Employment Tribunal claims and support clients throughout the Tribunal process.
• Prepare Grounds of Resistance, manage disclosure and draft witness statements.
• Advise on merits and attend Tribunal hearings.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies and procedures.
• Keep up to date with employment law developments and prepare client updates and training.
• Build and manage strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of service.
• Support business development and contribute to the wider interests of the firm.
• Work collaboratively with Senior Associates, Partners and colleagues.

About You:

• Ideally 2-5 years PQE with Employment Law
• You'll be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with a current practising certificate
• The ability to identify and apply relevant legal principles effectively and manage their own caseload
• Sound judgement, with the confidence to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A personable and approachable nature, with the ability to build strong client and colleague relationships.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Enthusiasm for developing your legal knowledge and contributing to business development.
