We are now opening a new home in Leicestershire and Derbyshire and are looking for a dedicated and experiencedRegistered Managerto lead our newest residential setting.

The Role: As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets Ofsted standards and promotes the wellbeing, safety and development of the children and young people. You will lead and inspire a team of care professionals, fostering a culture of warmth, consistency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register as the Manager with Ofsted and maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide strong, effective leadership to the care team
  • Ensure that children receive the highest standard of care and support tailored to their individual needs
  • Develop and oversee care plans, risk assessments and behaviour management strategies
  • Manage staff recruitment, development, training, and performance
  • Monitor and improve the quality of care through audits, reviews and feedback
  • Liaise effectively with external agencies, including social workers, schools and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with safeguarding and data protection standards
  • Promote a positive and nurturing environment that helps children feel safe, valued and empowered

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • At least 2 years experience in a senior role within a childrens residential setting
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with staff, children, families and professionals
