Senior Care Worker - Children's Home

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to children living in our Ofsted-regulated home. The Senior Care Worker will take a lead role in mentoring and supporting care staff, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in line with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. Supervise and mentor junior care staff, supporting them in their duties and professional development. Assist in the implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management plans. Maintain accurate records of children s progress, incidents, and safeguarding concerns. Act as a positive role model, fostering a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. Support the Deputy/Registered Manager in daily operations and team coordination. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and company procedures. Facilitate and encourage children s participation in educational, recreational, and social activities. Participate in staff meetings, handovers, and training sessions.
Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years experience in a residential children s care setting Knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and child protection Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
