ICT SECURITY OFFICER

We are looking for an ICT Security officer, to join us for a 2-year fixed term contract, with a view to going permanent. The Cyber security landscape has grown substantially with new threats, compliance and governance obligations that we need to work with. The AI and Cyber security the attack vector has increased substantially and we are looking for someone to join the busy IT security team to provide additional support for IT security and Cyber tasks. This is an exciting role within a dynamic team, with many projects in the pipeline and to get involved with new and emerging technologies.  You will be responsible for IT security compliance, IT risk management and Cyber security, based on industry-accepted IT security and risk management frameworks. Vulnerability management and PEN (penetration) testing will be key to this role. You will be working closely with the IT operations team, reporting into the IT Manager, to deliver ICT security projects as part of the ICT Strategy and continued development of our IT cyber security action plan. You will ensure that our users have access to the appropriate ICT services to support their business function within a safe and secure environment. You will be responsible for all IT and Cyber security matters, providing a primary point of contact for resolving IT security issues and incidents with the ICT security team.  For this role you must have recent demonstrable experience in an IT security role and hold a current IT / Cyber security qualification preferably COMPTIA Security+. Experience of Cyber Essentials or other cyber security frameworks is desirable.

·      36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £37280 per annum (Fixed Term Contract for two years)
