Apprentice Solicitor -Two-and-a-half-year fixed term training contract
Our Lexcel accredited Legal Services Team has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Solicitor to join them.
The job will give you the opportunity to work with both our internal and external clients and alongside the experienced members of the team covering both the council's contentious and non-contentious work.
Areas of practice will include regulatory enforcement, planning, commercial contracts, property, information governance and local government law.
You will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks, working in a sometimes-high-pressure environment, you will manage your caseload with supervision from the Legal Services Team Leaders. In order to be considered for this role you must hold a law degree or a 2:1 honours degree in a non-law subject and a minimum pass in a PGDL/GDL. The successful candidate will complete the Level 7 Graduate Entry Solicitor Apprenticeship (Day release study) with BPP (https://www.bpp.com/courses/law/apprenticeships/graduate-solicitor-day-release ).
