Long Term Futures are seeking a committed SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school in Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a supportive, high-staffing environment, delivering a curriculum adapted to the needs of children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). You'll work alongside skilled Teaching Assistants, therapists, and behaviour support staff.

The School: The school provides a calm, consistent, and nurturing setting for children aged 4-16 who face barriers to learning due to SEMH needs. With small class sizes, a high staff-to-pupil ratio, and a strong therapeutic ethos, the team work collaboratively to design personalised learning pathways that address both academic and emotional development.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Create a structured classroom environment that supports emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and leadership staff to maximise pupil progress
  • Implement trauma-informed and relational behaviour strategies
  • Track progress, adapt planning, and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and families

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE
  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
  • A commitment to inclusive, therapeutic, and child-centred education

Role Purpose: The Training Assistant will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of staff training. You will ensure training sessions are organised efficiently, records are accurate and up to date, and employees are well-informed and prepared for their training. Key Responsibilities: Assist in booking and scheduling training sessions for staff. Allocate staff members to relevant training sessions based on requirements. Book meeting rooms and arrange training facilities. Communicate training dates, times, and details to employees. Maintain and update the training matrix and other training records. Support with new staff induction training. Deliver online and face-to-face training sessions (full training will be provided). Liaise with managers to ensure training needs are met. Provide administrative support to the Training Lead. Other administrative tasks in the office may be required on occasions Skills & Experience: Strong organisational and time-management skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work accurately and maintain records.
