Please find a description of the role below. Role Overview:
- Oversee day-to-day financial management for Children and Family Services, including budget preparation, income/expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Use LCC financial systems, Excel, and other software to input, extract, and analyse financial data.
- Support budget monitoring, strategic planning, estimate preparation, and year-end account closures.
- Process and certify invoices, salary claims, procurement orders, and delivery notes in line with financial procedures.
- Manage imprest accounts and P-cards, including reconciliation and payment authorisation.
- Ensure systems are in place to support audit compliance and effective data collection.
- Ensure consistent staffing levels and effective prioritisation of support tasks.
- Monitor and report on the use of LCC grants in line with funding guidelines.
- Produce financial reports and provide advice on policies, procedures, and service strategy.
- Act as the lead contact for FEEE (Free Early Education Entitlement) guidance and support for internal teams and external early years providers.
- Support data accuracy through ongoing data cleaning and management of case management systems.
- Maintain and update templates and processes in collaboration with senior officers to meet service needs.
