The first homes at Bellway's new development in Hugglescote have been released for sale, with a sales office now open on site.

The developer is building 164 new homes at Bellway at Hugglescote Grange, off Grange Road.

The housebuilder is delivering 151 new homes for private sale and 13 affordable properties for local people through rent or shared ownership.

There will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses for the private market, while the affordable properties will feature one, two and three-bedroom homes.

The development was launched last month when the first visitors were welcomed to the new sales office.

Fiona Bray, Sales Manager for Bellway East Midlands, said: "The launch at any development is a red-letter day and this was a very well-attended event where we were able to welcome a large number of visitors to the site.

"The first homes being put up for sale marks the good progress we are making with construction on the site, with a sales office now open.

"Now house-hunters will be able to come to view the development and meet the sales team who will be on hand to answer any questions about the site, the local area, or the variety of homes being delivered.

"All the properties we are building for sale will be from Bellway's popular Artisan Collection.

"This is a range of homes showcasing the combination of modern construction methods with traditional craftsmanship and has been developed by a team of architects and technicians using decades of customer feedback."

Bellway East Midlands has acquired a second parcel of land for up to 189 new homes within the wider Hugglescote Grange development, with the purchase of both sites made with land regeneration company Harworth Group.

The wider Hugglescote Grange neighbourhood is planned to deliver 2,000 new homes and to feature shops and offices, a new primary school, a medical centre, a day nursery and a pub across a 250-acre site.

Fiona added: "Bellway at Hugglescote Grange represents our first development within this wider consortium site which is set to deliver thousands of new homes and create a whole new community in North West Leicestershire.

"Construction work is progressing well and we hope to be in a position to launch a showhome at this development in the summer."

The first homes released for sale at Hugglescote Grange include a choice of three and four-bedroom houses, with prices starting from £261,900.
