The Coalville public have been told to cover up "in some settings" to prevent the spread of coronavirus in future.

The nation should wear face masks in enclosed spaces where social distancing isn't possible, the Government has said as it published its 'road map' which could include people being able to link up with one other household in a "bubble".

Some of the fans who took part in the relay event at Coalville Town

More than 130 fans took part in a fundraising relay around Coalville Town's football pitch at the weekend - and netted almost £1,900 for the club's coffers.

The event was organised by The Ravens' youth team secretary Wayne McDermott to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the club's Wembley FA Vase Final against Whitley Bay and help keep players united during the coronavirus lockdown.

A Hugglescote mum has thanked villagers for supporting her family's VE Day-inspired fundraiser in aid of the local coronavirus community support group.

Kath Spencer drew the outline of a Spitfire on the pavement outside her Millpond home and invited passers-by taking their daily Government-approved exercise on Friday (8 May) to fill it in with coins.
