North West Leicestershire District Council has yet to decide if its VE Day 75th Anniversary Celebration will go ahead on May 8.

Ashby this week cancelled its event due to be held on the town's Bath Grounds.

Ellistown company Quarry Plant and Industry (QPI) is moving to a purpose-built new headquarters after plans were approved.

The conveyor belting and rollers supplier has now been given the go-ahead to create a new 73,194 sq ft base at the former Heather Brickworks in Mill Lane, reports Insidermedia.com Insider Media

Just seven homes remain for sale at a popular housing development in Heather.
