Eight men who were involved in the supply of kilogram amounts of high purity Class A drugs, across North West Leicestershire and South Derbyshire, have been jailed for nearly 50 years between them.

They included men from Coalville, Ravenstone, Ashby and Moira.

Iceland in Coalville will be reserving the first two hours of trade on Wednesday for elderly customers.

Leicestershire Police have confirmed a man died in an incident at The Emporium Nightclub in Coalville on Saturday night - the death is being treated as 'unexplained'.

A statement has been issued on behalf of the 'Passion' team following an incident at The Emporium nightclub in Coalville on Saturday night.

It has been reported on social media that police and ambulance services were called out to the Belvoir Road venue, with roads around the area cut off.

Hugglescote-based Feed The Need has suspended its Thursday foodbank sessions due to the Coronavirus spread.

It had been providing food for those who need help during difficult times.
