Coalville Fire Crew were called out this evening on Wednesday to deal with a car fire on the A511.

The blaze happened near to the Flying Horse bar and restaurant on Little Shaw Lane in Markfield.

North West Leicestershire District Council wants to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order in relation to rubbish bins left out on seven streets in the town.

The Holly Hayes Wood open day planned for this Saturday (July 24) has been cancelled due to the rising number of Covid cases in the Coalville area.

Organised by the Coalville Education Partnership, the day was to have gone ahead from 10am-2pm with a tour of the woodland one of the attractions on offer at the Whitwick beauty spot.
