World-renowned musician and producer Brian Eno has thrown his support behind Coalville CAN, as the community co-operative launches its first-ever share offer.

The initiative aims to purchase the freehold of CAN HQ at the Clocktower to continue to develop the hub as a space for enterprise, connecting, creativity, learning and community engagement.

The share offer is an opportunity for individuals and businesses to invest in the future of Coalville's cultural landscape.

Backed by Eno, a pioneering figure in the global music scene, CAN HQ officials say it will serve as a 'Beacon of Hope and Possibilities" of what can happen when people control local assets.

Eno and his fellow trustees at the newly formed Coral Foundation, add significant momentum to the project, aligning his passion for the creative potential of people with Coalville's ambitions.

He said: "I'm very happy that the Coral Foundation is able to support Coalville CAN.

"What is happening in Coalville is such a powerful demonstration of what is possible anywhere and everywhere when people come together in community, and find the solutions to their own challenges.

The share offer opens the door for supporters to own a piece of the new venture, while contributing to the town's cultural and economic revival.

The Coalville CAN group wants to buy the building so that it can continue its work within the community and stay in the town for years to come.
