Work has started on the new play area in Coalville and is expected to take around four weeks to complete ahead of the Christmas break.

The new equipment is being fitted after the Friends of Coalville Park voluntary group secured funding of £73,000 with support from North West Leicestershire District Council.

This is how we covered that story in September HERE.

The Friends of Coalville Park have given more details about the work taking place.

They said: "A large part of the play area will remain fenced off until work is complete in around four weeks' time.

"We really appreciate your patience with this and look forward to all the lovely new play equipment being ready for Christmas."
