A woman was taken to hospital with 'breathing difficulties' after reports of a hazardous substance being present at a property in Coalville.

Police and ambulance services were called to a home in Bakewell Street on Monday afternoon.

When it was thought a substance may be present in the house, Leicestershire Fire & Rescue also attended.

But despite fears being raised, nothing was found.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Both police and the East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the property just after 3.30pm after a woman reported suffering breathing difficulties.

"There was a suggestion a hazardous substance may have been sprayed within the property so, as a precaution, the fire service also attended.

"However no substance has been identified as being present."
